As a progressive, it’s strange and frustrating to see such circumstances as what is happening with the wars in Yemen and Syria and feel as though there’s nothing we can do. These two wars are so complex that even with all the peace talks from international organizations, the wars have continued. At this point, I think it’s most imperative that the civilians are brought out of the war zones, as many of them as possible. We may not be able to stop the wars as easily as we’d like to, but there are ways to help the refugees of Yemen and Syria. Please search Google and find a charity that you can donate to. They need our help in getting to a safe place and to be safe and nourished while on their journeys there. In regards to Yemen, there was a White House announcement in February that Biden will end U.S. participation in the military campaign on Yemen. So, perhaps, some great changes will result in that decision and action. Let’s hope so.
